Designed to retain PCBs in rugged, heavy shock and high vibration environments commonly found in Military and Defense and commercial aerospace systems. In addition to PCB retention, Card and Wedge Loks also aid in thermal transfer from the PCB to the cold wall via conduction, by improving the interface between the PCB and the chassis rail.
Anwendungen:The 260HC's unique wedge design provides more than triple the clamping force of similarly sized Card Loks. Like all shafted Card Loks, the Series 260HC has a ridged shafted design for a more uniform clamping force over the length of the card lok, while maintaining wedge and body alignment for easier installation. The 260HC is designed to be a drop in replacement for most Series 260 Card Lok applications.
Installation:The Card Lok mounts to the PCB either by screws or rivets, with one Card Lok on the top of the PCB and one on the bottom. Often Card Loks are installed within a conduction cooled card cage where the PCB, with the two Card Loks attached, is then installed into the cold wall channels. When actuated, the Card or Wedge Lok clamps the PCB firmly to the cold wall to facilitate board retention and thermal transfer.
